Merideth Spriggs founded Caridad in 2010, with the goal of raising underwear and sock donations for the local homeless community. Once homeless herself, Merideth understands the immense struggle of being homeless, and how homelessness affects the whole community. Her organization strives to humanize the homeless population through customer service based street outreach.
Caridad is partnered with federal, state, and local Veterans Associations, and in charge of outreach coordination as they work to end homelessness among veterans. They also work with experts on homelessness in order to educate the community. With everyone in the community working together, we can take action to end homelessness.
All donations accepted go towards much needed items for the homeless community, including Identification Cards, birth certificates, and emergency housing. Visit their website to learn how you can get involved, and be sure to follow them on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ to keep up-to-date on their progress.
