Time your visit to catch the famous Fort Worth Herd cattle drive before the tour, when available, then follow your guide through the Stockyards dressed for the season. Slip on a Santa hat, holiday light necklace or other festive accessory for photos along the way as you take in historic Exchange Avenue, Mule Alley and the Stockyards holiday atmosphere.
Between bites, your guide brings Old Cowtown to life. Hear what it was like for cattle drovers moving massive herds across Texas, see where Texas Longhorns still make their way down Exchange Avenue, and follow the Stockyards story from cattle and cowboys to rodeos, outlaws and old saloons. Along the way, discover Bonnie and Clyde’s connection to the Stockyards Hotel, the story behind the world’s first indoor rodeo at Cowtown Coliseum, and details that are easy to miss when exploring on your own.
One of the tour’s most memorable experiences comes at historic Miss Molly’s, a former bordello known for its colorful past, reported hauntings and appearances on paranormal television. When available, enjoy a special visit with the innkeeper and hear the stories and ghostly legends that have followed Miss Molly’s through the years.
